FRANCES GALEA
About
From a young age, Frances Galea, has always loved a good story; whether it be on the page, performed on stage or adapted for the screen.
During her teen years, Frances’ parents would have to confiscate her books because she was always reading when she was supposed to be studying.
This passion for literature saw her go on to study a Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing at Box Hill Institute. Through her diploma, Frances practiced the skills of workshopping, accepting and giving feedback and was named the managing editor of the institute’s 2012 Avant Anthology.
In her spare time, Frances, attends a monthly writers group where she shares her work with other writers and this year she made her debut in a local production of Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 the musical.
Frances currently works as a Teacher’s Aide at a primary school and lives with her fiancé and dog, Bosley, in the western suburbs of Melbourne.
